Summary

Based on one of the most successful and popular comic books of all time, AMC’s The Walking Dead captures the ongoing human drama following a zombie apocalypse. The series, developed for television by Frank Darabont, follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who are traveling in search of a safe and secure home. However, instead of the zombies, it is the living who remain that truly become the walking dead. Rick (Andrew Lincoln) is a sheriff who wakes up from a coma and finds the world ruled by zombies, or “walkers.” He reunites with his family, forms a community with other survivors, and together they find ways to thrive in a word full of walkers. However. as their journey progresses, they find out that walkers are not their only problem. There are other group of survivors like themselves who can prove to be more dangerous. Other main cast include actors Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon and Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes. Actresses Melissa McBride also joins as Carol Peletier, and Lauran Cohan as Maggie Greene.
