It’s likely an understatement to say that many members of the Pokemon community are hyped for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the next installments in the video games series. Recently, fans received a new trailer for the Gen 9 Pokemon games that provided a look at a number of new features coming to the game. Among the highlights was the reveal of a new Pokemon known as Fidough.
As its name suggests, Fidough combines the look of a puppy with that of dough used for baking. While it has the proportions of a dog, its features have a distinctly doughy appearance. In addition, it is Fairy-type Pokemon and its breath contains yeast. Interestingly, one creative fan of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet decided to take this food-related aspect of the design of Fidough and created some alternate “flavors” for it.
Taking to Reddit, a user known as Pringlesthief shared an image they recently created featuring the newly introduced Pokemon known as Fidough. This fan art stood out because the creator had reimagined the Pokemon as various dough-based foods. Impressively, the artist managed to create seven different flavors of the pocket monster.
In the image, Pringlestheif showed off alternate versions for Fidough and revealed what it would look like if it had donuts, focaccia, baguettes, pizzas, croissants, and pretzels incorporated in the design. In addition, they included an uncooked flavor in the picture. Each of these unique flavors altered the look of the Pokemon to reflect the food it was representing. For example, the baguette flavor gave Fidough long ears, while the croissant design made the Pokemon look like it had horns. However, they all still managed to maintain the look of Fidough seen in the trailer.
Following the release of this recent trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, many members of the Pokemon community have been interested in this creative artwork featuring Fidough. In only a day, this fan art featuring alternate Fidough flavors has gained several hundred upvotes, with a number of users commenting on the designs. Some fans commented that the flavors looked appetizing and made them want to bake some bread. In addition, some were impressed with how quickly Pringlesthief was able to create the artwork, considering that the Pokemon was only recently unveiled.
With Fidough now revealed, it will be interesting to see what other pieces of fan art based on the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are shown off by fans. In addition to this puppy Pokemon, the Cetitan was revealed in the recent trailer along with the Paldean Wooper, giving fans even more Pokemon to make fan art based on. Regardless of what is created next by talented fans, it is likely to impress.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launch on November 18 for Nintendo Switch.
