Inside 'Club Fed' where Ghislaine will spend the next 20 years: Maxwell is set languish in 'celeb jail' that once housed Real Housewives star Teresa Guidice - and is the inspiration for Netflix hit Orange is New Black
Ghislaine Maxwell could spend her 20-year sentence at the Connecticut federal prison that inspired 'Orange Is The New Black' and housed 'Real Housewives' star Teresa Giudice. Judge Alison Nathan recommended that Maxwell be sent to the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, a low-security facility about 55 miles from New York City. Ghislaine Maxwell, 60, was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Tuesday for helping the sex offender and globetrotting financier Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse teenage girls, in what a judge called a 'horrific scheme' that inflicted 'incalculable' harm on victims. The prison has held previous inmates including singer Lauryn Hill, reality TV star Teresa Giudice, and Piper Kerman, author of Orange is the New Black. It is believed Kerman partly based Litchfield Prison in Orange Is the New Black on Danbury. There is no parole for federal prison, so Maxwell is likely to serve the entire 20-year sentence, but could potentially be released a few years early for good behavior.

Ghislaine by her own hand, forced me into Epstein's room to be raped,' Ransome wrote. Maxwell was jailed for 20 years Tuesday.

The Hollywood actor, 64, got up of his couch to upbraid an unseen staffer called Leonetta during Tuesday's interview - which saw him make no mention of the fatal Rust shooting. Around 15 minutes into the chat, 86 year-old Allen's connection froze. Moments later, Baldwin was up off the couch at his East Hampton home shouting: 'Leonetta! Leonetta! Basta! Las perritas! Basta! Las perritas, suficiente!' That translates as: 'Leonetta! Leonetta! Enough! The dogs! Enough. The dogs. That's enough!' Baldwin and Allen - both of whom have been plagued by multiple scandals - scheduled the chinwag to discuss Allen's new book of essays, titled Zero Gravity. But the Instagram event - for which Baldwin turned live comments off - turned into a farcical comedy due to multiple Wi-Fi disruptions at Allen's Upper East Side mansion.

Everyone who watches the Hulu show Only Murders in the Building knows the Arconia - the building where Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short's characters all live, and the center stage for all of their drama. It turns out, the building used to film the outside shots of the Acornia in the series is called the Belnord in real life, and it actually has its own wacky history. While it may not really be the home to a murder mystery, the New York City apartment complex has made headlines for its own slew of controversies since it was built more than 110 years ago. The Belnord, which takes up an entire block in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, sits on 86th street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue. The 13-story tall building has 175 apartment units and was built in 1908. Despite being considered luxury when it first opened, by the 1970s, the apartment building had became rundown after the building's owner, Lillian Seril, refused to fix things and didn't pay her dues. In 1978, numerous people who lived at the Belnord became fed up and organized a rent strike against the landlord, which would go on to become the 'longest rent strike in the city's history.'

The grandfather of plastic surgery: How pioneering surgeon transformed the faces of soldiers seriously injured in WWI
They were men with facial injuries so severe they were slapped with labels that simply read 'GOK' - God Only Knows. For these soldiers, who had been wounded in the horrendous fighting of the First World War, hope of any sort of normal life was scant. But pioneering surgeon Sir Harold Gillies (right) offered an olive branch that transformed the prospects of dozens of disfigured young men who fell under his care. Now, a new book (inset) by historian Dr Lindsey Harris explores the work of Gillies, who is widely regarded as being the 'grandfather' of plastic surgery. Stunning images reveal how the appearances of men who had horrendous wounds - many to their noses and mouths - were transformed with Gillies's unprecedented techniques. One soldier, Sergeant Sidney Beldam (top row), had a large portion of his nose torn off by a piece of shrapnel - so that his upper lip was permanently lifted in a snarl. After having nearly 40 operations under Gillies, during which a flap of healthy tissue was sutured in place to fill out the missing parts of his cheek and nose, Beldam went on to marry the love of his life - a pianist who had visited the wounded in hospital.

World champion Nelson Piquet is warned he faces being BANNED from Formula One if he doesn't publicly apologize to Lewis Hamilton after calling him the N-word while discussing clash with arch rival Max Verstappen
Former world champion Nelson Piquet (centre) has been warned that he could face a ban from Formula One if he doesn't publicly apologise to Sir Lewis Hamilton for using a racial slur to describe him in an interview. Piquet, 69, used the N-word while referring to the seven-time world champion on a podcast with the publication Estadao. Piquet twice used a racist term, which is Brazilian slang for the N-word. The former driver, who won the world title in 1981, 83 and 87, had been discussing the accident between Hamilton and Max Verstappen - who also happens to be in a romantic relationship with his daughter (pictured together top right)- on the first lap of last year's British Grand Prix. He suggested that Hamilton pushed Verstappen off the track on purpose, ending his race, and used the word to describe the British driver. In a video which resurfaced on social media in the last 24 hours, Piquet - whose daughter Kelly is dating Hamilton's rival Verstappen - said: 'The n******* put the car in the wrong way and didn't let [the other driver swerve]. Speaking in Portuguese, he adds: 'The n******* put the car in the wrong way on the corner, it's because you don't know the curve. It's a very high curve, there is no way to pass two cars and there's no way you can put the car aside. He did [Verstappen] dirty.
