Heavensward, Final Fantasy 14's very first expansion, launched in 2015 and focuses on the Dragonsong War raging between Ishgard and the dragonkin. As well as adding a wealth of content and areas, Heavensward raises the level cap to 60, introduces flying mounts, the Au Ra Race, and three new classes — Dark Knight, Astrologian, and Machinist.
The thrill of flying mounts came with a cost — Aether Currents. Scattered around the Heavensward maps, they must be collected before you can fly in each zone. Fortunately, the number of Aether Currents for older expansions was recently reduced. You can find everything you need to track them all down right here.

Stormblood, the second Final Fantasy 14 expansion, launched in 2017 and saw players traveling to new areas in the Far East to help liberate lands conquered by the Garlean Empire. Once again, players were given a whole slew of new areas, content, and challenges, but most notably, this expansion raises the level cap to 70, adds the Red Mage and Samurai jobs, and also introduces the diving and swimming mechanic.
You guessed it — new zones mean new Aether Currents to collect, but don't worry, we've got guides on where to find them all right here. You can also find information on special FATEs here too.
